'Shape Up Your Health' Video Competition Awards Ceremony

This is the first year the competition is organised by School of Sports, Health and Leisure (SHL) from Republic Polytechnic (RP) and KK Women's and Children's Hospital (KKH).

 "Shape Up Your Health" Video Competition allows secondary school students to showcase their creativity in creating health promotion videos for the elderly women in Singapore.

 The theme for this year's competition is on "Health Issues for Older Women".

HSS formed a team of 5 members, namely Bridgette, Zhong Su, Jovan, Zi Yin and Janani. They completed a half-day training at KKH which was conducted by KKH and RP. After which, they were given about a month to create and submit their video creation on 'Hypertension'.
On the day of the prize presentation, HSS emerged as champions in the competition and won $2000 cash and trophies plus certificates. The prize presentation ceremony in KKH,

The group would specially want to thank Bridgette's mother for being the 'actress' in the video. Without her help, the group would not be able to garner the top prize.





CCA farewell event for seniors_MAY 2016




All the secondary two and three members said their farewell to the seniors during the Farewell Party on the 28th of May 2015. The seniors were presented with token of appreciations like certificates, note of thanks and colored cardboards with encouragement messages.






CCA Olympics Event 2016



Besides photography skills, Info.Media Club members are also active in sports related activities. Our Sec 2 and 3 members went all out on the 27th of May, participating in the CCA Olympics organised by the PE Department. Together with the SJAB and GG/BB/GB, we managed to emerge second position in the competition.
Some of the IMC members were deployed to thevarious locations to take photographs for the CCA Olympics Event.

CCA Camp on the 1st-2nd of April

On the 1st and 2nd of April, the Info.Media Club members had their CCA Camp. We spent the afternoon working on our SDMA projects, before heading off the Marina Bay Sands in the evening for our night photography session.

 

 

  




 The next day, we washed up and went for a short physical morning exercise before settling down for breakfast.

 We ate bee hoon and milo together.
